Draconian Winter Mysticism

A Winter Night…

IT’S BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE I POSTED here. More than 10 days, I believe. Although I have posted some of my own, and a bunch of Visitors’, Desolation X-photos, I haven’t written a real post for some time. But what to write, what to write? I will write about some real personal stuff today. I will share an experience with you guys from a special winter midnight and what you believe are your thoughts and what I believe is mine but to be honest – I have no clue whatsoever of what this was about or what really happened even though I do understand what was being done that winter night. Please, lay your opinions aside and try not to be clouded by prejudice, I beg you – for your own experience’ sake.

Desolation X [Visitor Marie’s Contribution]

YET AGAIN, MARIE ZACKARIASSON PROVIDES US with another shot of desolation and it is another one from Tobago, too. This one is a nice one. It’s a car getting eaten by mother nature. What was earth will be earth! Captured with a digital system camera Marie catches a moment in time. I love those kinds of pictures of cars breaking down by nature. Not even steel can stand against her! The photo was taken back in 2009.

Here’s Marie’s description of her photo:

Mother nature takes back what is hers by right
Picture #2 from Tobago, 2009. A car that certainly has done its time on Earth!

Desolation X [Visitor Marie’s Contribution]

WE HAVE ANOTHER PHOTO FROM Marie Zackariasson. This time it is a color photo all the way from Tobago with cheery colors but still desolated so it fits the genre well. It is taken back in 2009 with her Digital System Camera.

Desolation X [Visitor Marie’s contribution]

Marie Zackariasson’s Contribution to Desolation X

this time I thank Marie Zackariasson for sending her photo of the northern hemisphere from Alta, Norway, in November 2016, while she was awaiting the northern lights to show up. It is shot with her Digital System Camera. Did it, Marie? It looks like one of those nights. Though I have never seen one myself :( This photo brings a strong feeling of desolation and a feeling of how small we are in this universe. Night skies are always fascinating and this is no exception.

Necrophilia Or Just Love? (Part II)

Necrophilia (Pt. 2)

AS SOME OF YOU MIGHT RECALL I WROTE A POST on Necrophilia vs. love on June 5th, 2017 and I promised to continue on the subject and tonight is the time for that.

What is necrophilia? To give an answer to this complex question in all its simplicity would be to say that necrophilia is the desire to, in some way, interact sexually and/or emotionally with a corpse. Sick, you say? Also definable. A pedophilia is an ugly orientation with no kind of exculpation (a defense of some offensive behavior) whatsoever and I think – no, I hope – that we all could agree on that part but if we can’t you are not getting any sympathy from me, though.

Desolation X by Visitor Mikael Granqvist

I am happy to post the first photo in the Desolation X-library that has been uploaded by one of you visitors, namely Mikael Granqvist from Umeå, Sweden, who shot the following photo with his digital system camera. His own desription of the photo is as follows:

Upload Your Photos To The Desolation X-project!

Upload Your Photos To Support Desolation X-project (Sticky Post)

As you all have seen I post photographies under the name Desolation X. You can’t have missed it! And if you like the photos or the idea of this project – Please, feel free to upload your own photos to support the Project. I would love to have your photos sent to me! Maybe they are taken in another country, maybe just outside your door, in the woods, on the fields, hills and valleys or lakes or whatever, just as long as it has this feeling of melancholy in it. Some kind of depressive weight to it. Maybe you don’t see it the way I do, so just post the photos you believe will be suitable and I will publish what I like, but probably all. Just think of that no persons shall be on it. Otherwise, a dysphoric environment could be in the cities or in the country or in a house or a barn or wherever, really. You set the standard by what you upload.

Desolation X – Natures Expression of Depression

A Hidden Oak Grove And Its Powers

Yes, it might get a little much just now but it is quite nice with a photo here and there. Well, it is to fill out the void that appears when I’m a bit busy doing other things than posting. So every time a Desolation X pops up you know it is my bad conscience that is making me do it. The photo below was taken on a very dark spring day this year. And the sky was heavy and looked as if it were made of iron almost. There was a special kind of atmosphere surrounding this oak grove that lay hidden from the road. Behind a bit of ordinary birch wood, a massive open green space appeared with a bunch of old oaks, some alive, some dead.

Special Desolation X – 2 in 1

Rånäs – My Neighborhood

Somewhere in Rånäs during the winter, actually, even if it doesn’t look like that, like many of the winters we have down here, but often we do get a lot of snow in the Roslagen area. I recall winters of 2010 and 2011 when we had about 1m and that is just so wonderful.

Latest YouTube Jamming Session #2 – Stockholm Brinner

This is my latest jamming session #2. I just enjoy playing with the stuff. This is a structured track though called Stockholm Brinner and it is pretty straight forward, really. Standard House/Trance-ish shit. More will come in the future. Hopefully a bit more fun stuff then. This is mostly to get to learn the video editing software so the jam sessions are very randomly performed. Plus I don’t really like having a camera over my shoulder but at the same time I’d like to make YouTube-videos for the sake of fun. Click on Read More to view the video.
